Apple Sauce

Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs apples (Gala, Honeycrisp, Granny Smith mix)
  • ¼ c sugar
  • 1 c water
  • salt
  • ¼ t ground cinnamon
  • 1 T lemon juice, more to taste

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Peel, core, and chop apples.

  2. Step 2

    Combine apples, sugar, salt, and water. Bring to a simmer in pot over high heat. Stir occassionally.

  3. Step 3

    Once simmering, reduce to medium low, cover tightly with a lid. Cook for 18 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Stir in lemon juice and cinnamon. Take off heat, then mash roughly.
