Butternut Squash

Ingredients

  • 1 butternut squash
  • butter, salt, pepper

Notes

Butter works better than olive oil, but it will work in a pinch if needed. Time for cooking might vary between 45m-1hr20m based on size of squash.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400F.

  2. Step 2

    Wash squash. Cut in half lengthwise from stem to bottom. Scoop seeds and pulp out. Stab cut sides with fork liberally.

  3. Step 3

    Spread ~1T of butter on surface of each half, and another ~1T of butter within the cavity of each half too (4T total). Salt & pepper very liberally.

  4. Step 4

    Roast for ~1hr, aiming for fork tender.
