Chicken broth in a ceramic dutch oven

Ingredients

Basic

  • 3 qts water
  • split chicken breasts
  • bag of baby carrots
  • 3-5 celery ribs
  • 1 onion
  • garlic cloves
  • salt
  • peppercorns

Optionals

  • lemon
  • parm rind
  • parsley
  • bay leaf
  • sage
  • basil
  • thyme
  • parsnip
  • scallions
  • leek
  • MSG
  • rock sugar
  • mushrooms
  • vinegar (added once simmering?)

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Add all ingredients to pot. Bring to boil, then simmer 20mins. Remove chicken. Optional: Return bones back to pot, continue simmering for ~2 hours.
