Cream Sauce

Cream sauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ c butter
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 T flour
  • 1 c beef broth
  • 1 t dried basil
  • ½ t dried oregano
  • ½ c heavy cream
  • ½ c freshly grated parmesan
  • 1oz cream cheese, room temp
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add garlic until fragrant.

  2. Step 2

    Whisk in flour until lightly browned, ~1 minute.

  3. Step 3

    Gradually whisk in beef broth, basil, and oregano. Whisk constantly until incorporated, ~1-2 min.

  4. Step 4

    Stir in heavy cream, parm, cream cheese until thickened, ~1-2 min. If mixture is too thick, add more cream. Otherwise, season with salt and pepper to taste.
