Filipino Barbecue
Ingredients
- 1 c Coke (not Coke Zero)
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 onion
- ½ c soy sauce
- ½ c apple cider vinegar
- ¼ c orange juice (2 oranges)
- ¼ c ketchup
- ⅛ c lemon juice (1 lemon)
- 6 garlic cloves
- 3 T oyster sauce or substitute
- 1 T salt
- 1 T pepper
- 1 t red pepper flakes
- 4 lb pork or chicken thighs

Step 1
Dice onion, juice citrus. Cut meat into 1" cubes.

Step 2
Place all marinade ingredients in saucepan over low. Whisk at simmering for 5 minutes. Let return to room temperature.

Marinate meat overnight. Cook as skewers on grill.
