Filipino Garlic Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 c of day-old cooked long grain rice
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • ¼ t salt
  • ¼ t white pepper

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    In large pan or even dutch oven if sizing up recipe, add the oil over medium high heat. Add garlic and fry until sizzling subsides and garlic is golden brown. Remove half of the garlic, placing on towel-lined plate to drain.

  2. Step 2

    Add rice to pan, toss and stir-fry until warmed through. Season with salt and white pepper to taste. Garnish rice with reserved pieces of toasted crispy garlic.
