Long Grain White Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 c long grain white rice
  • 1½ c water
  • ½ t salt

Note

If using for a dish that requires "day-old leftover rice", spread out on baking sheet and place in fridge overnight.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    In medium pot, combine ingredients cold. Bring to a boil on medium high.

  2. Step 2

    Stir once, cover with tight lid, reduce to low and simmer for 18 minutes. Do not lift lid or stir. After 18 min, remove from heat but let stand, lidded, for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
