Marbled Banana Bread

Ingredients

Base

  • ½ c butter
  • 3 bananas
  • ¾ c light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 t baking soda
  • ¼ t salt
  • 1 c flour

White Marble

  • ¼ c flour
  • ½ t ground cinnamon

Chocolate Marble

  • ¼ c cocoa powder
  • ¾ c chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350F. Spray 9x5 loaf pan.

  2. Step 1

    Melt butter and let cool. Mash bananas into butter. Whisk in the rest of the base ingredients EXCEPT the flour. Whisk until well combined.

  3. Step 2

    Add in the 1 cup of flour, sifted preferrably. Stir/fold the flour in until just combined.

  4. Step 3

    Pour half the batter into a second bowl.

  5. Step 4

    In the first bowl, add the white marble ingredients. In the second bowl, add the chocolate marble ingredients.

  6. Step 5

    Dollop alternating spoonfuls of each batter into the loaf pan. Make a figure 8 with knife through batter. Pick up and drop the loaf pan to get air bubbles out.

  7. Step 6

    Bake 55-65 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then take out and cool on rack.
