Sausage Stuffed Pasta Shells

Sausage ricotta stuffed shells

Ingredients

  • ~18 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb bulk Italian sausage
  • 15 oz ricotta
  • 1 egg
  • 28oz marinara
  • 1-2 c Italian cheese blend

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Cook and drain pasta. Rinse in cold water until cool enough to handle.

  2. Step

    In a skillet, cook sausage over med-high heat. Drain fat.

  3. Step

    Mix ricotta, egg, and sausage in a bowl. Preheat oven to 350F.

  4. Step

    In a casserole dish, spoon ~1 cup marinara on bottom. Stuff shells with ~2T ricotta mixture and array in dish. Spoon remaining sauce and ricotta mix over the shells.

  5. Step

    Bake uncovered for 30 min. Remove, sprinkle Italian cheese on top. Bake 10 more minutes.
