Chicken Fried Steak

Ingredients
Wet dip
- NY Strip steak, or cube steak
- 1 egg
- ¾ c buttermilk
Dry dip
- 1 c flour
- ½ t cayenne
- ½ t paprika
- ½ t onion powder
- salt and pepper
Cooking tips
Serve with gravy
If using NY strip, buy the thick ones (don't try to cheat by buying skinny ones). Filet into thirds or quarters. Pound well if fileted into thirds, don't pound if fileted into quarters.
Instructions

Step 1
Trim and ready steaks. Pat dry. Salt and pepper them.

Step 2
Dip into wet first, then into dry. Repeat.

Step 3
Let steaks rest on a rack while air fryer preheats to 400F.

Step 4
Spray basket lightly with spray. Cook 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through. Sprinkle with leftover flour dip liberally for great crunch.
