Moroccan Braised Beef
Ingredients
Base
- ⅓ c flour
- 2 lb boneless beef chuck roast
- 3 T olive oil
- 4 c beef broth
- 2 yellow onion
- 1 14oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 c red wine
Spices
- 1 T curry powder
- 1 T paprika
- 1 t salt
- 1 t cuming
- 1 t coriander
- ½ t cayenne
To serve
Serve over Couscous. Traditionally served with golden raisins but Dil doesn't like.
Instructions

Step 1
Dice onions. Cut beef into 1 inch cubes.

Place flour in a large shallow dish. Add beef and coat. Preheat Instant Pot Sauté function (add time, ~1hr so that it doesn't turn off on you halfway through browning).

Brown the beef in batches in instant pot (can take up to an hour to brown it all). Deglaze the pot with some beef broth.

Add the rest of the ingredients and seasonings. Cover, set the lid to Venting, and Slow Cook for 7-8 hours.
